Cookie policy

Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand which aircraft people look at and how they arrived. These set cookies that recognise a returning browser and record pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what device you used. They do not tell us who you are.

Sign-in. Our own staff area sets a session cookie when someone signs in. It is never set for ordinary visitors, because there is nothing on this site for a visitor to sign in to.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. Nothing here follows you to other websites.

Vercel Web Analytics measures visits to our public pages without cookies. It provides aggregate statistics such as pages viewed, referring websites, browser, device type and approximate location. Our admin and contributor portal routes are excluded. This runs separately from Google Analytics and is not switched off by rejecting cookies in the CookieYes banner.

The map on our contact page loads imagery from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. That does not set a cookie, but loading it does reveal your IP address to those services — the same as any image loaded from another site.

Every browser can block or delete cookies. The site works without them; only our analytics get worse, which is our problem rather than yours.

Our CookieYes banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies and manage your preferences. Those choices are passed to Google’s consent settings. You can revisit your choices using the cookie preferences control. Vercel’s cookieless Web Analytics operates separately, as described above.
