The King Air 350 is the stretched, winglet-equipped flagship of the line: a double-club cabin for eight with commuter seating to eleven, 312 kt cruise and 1,806 NM of range. The 350i brought a quieter, fully refreshed interior; the airframe's utility DNA is unchanged.

At 15,000 lb maximum takeoff weight it delivers genuine payload-with-full-fuel flexibility that the smaller King Airs trade away, while keeping the family's short, hot and unpaved runway manners.

A short history of the King Air 350i

The 350 is the King Air line taken to its logical limit. Beechcraft started with the Model 300 — a hotter-engined development of the 200 — stretched the fuselage by nearly three feet, added two more cabin windows per side and fitted winglets, creating the aircraft delivered from 1990 as the Super King Air 350 (formally the Model B300). Certification in the commuter category allowed the 15,000 lb maximum takeoff weight, which is what gives the type its payload-with-full-fuel flexibility and its double-club-plus cabin.

The formula proved so right that the airframe has barely changed in thirty-five years. The 350ER added extended-range tankage and higher weights for special-mission work; the 350i of 2009 rebuilt the cabin around noise reduction and connectivity; Pro Line Fusion flight decks arrived on new aircraft from 2015; and the King Air 360, announced in August 2020, added the ThrustSense autothrottle, a lower cabin altitude and a redesigned interior. Underneath, the wing, the PT6A-60A engines and the field performance are the same story told better.

Production continues at Wichita, and the surveillance, air-ambulance and flight-inspection fleets built on the 350 keep growing. For a used buyer that continuity matters: parts, training and engineering knowledge for a 1990s airframe are the same ones supporting aircraft delivered last month — a claim almost nothing else in this class can make.
